1. When is my METRO Cash & Carry store open?
Every METRO Cash & Carry store is open Monday to Friday from 6am - 10pm and Saturday 8am - 6pm.
2. Why is the METRO Cash & Carry Post separated into different parts?
Our customers belong to different trading sectors. For this reason, the interests are separated accordingly.
To make the METRO-Post somewhat more perceptible, it is divided into two main parts - Food promotion and Nonfood promotion.
For certain theme areas, e.g. emphasis on seasonal articles, we will send you a special supplement. That way you're always well informed.
3. When does the promotion start and how long does it last?
The METRO-Post promotion is as a rule valid from Thursday onwards for the next 14 days.
Special supplements can be valid for up to 6 weeks, depending on the length of the season.
The respective period of validity is to be found on the first page of the METRO Post or special supplement.
4. Why am I not receiving my METRO Post?
To receive the METRO-Post every fortnight, it is necessary to purchase goods from one of our stores regulary.
A further condition for receiving the METRO-post is to make sure your company's address is correct. It is important to register any name or address change at the customer entrance.
5. Can I use my METRO Cash & Carry card to purchase articles in every METRO Cash & Carry store?
Yes. In Austria, it is possible to use your METRO Cash & Carry card in any one of our 12 stores.
Even abroad, your Austrian METRO Cash & Carry card is valid. By taking it to the METRO Cash & Carry or MAKRO customer entrance, you will gain access and you can buy your goods in almost all our international stores (except: Serbia, France, Japan).
6. Am I even entitled to shop when I have left my METRO Cash & Carry card at home?
Yes. Inform the customer entrance, give them your company's name and show your ID to proof yourself as one of the company's entitled purchasers. You will gain access and you can buy your desired goods.
7. My company's address has changed, how can I obtain a new METRO Cash & Carry card?
Please adress to one of our staff members at the customer entrance with your old METRO Cash & Carry card. They will enter the new address and print your new cards immediately.
Automatically, your new data will be entered and the new company address or company name appears on your invoice. And we have a valid address to send the METRO Cash & Carry Post to you.
8. Who has got access through the barriers at the carpark?
The car park which is closed off by the barriers is reserved for the Top-Card customers. Only with the Top-Card access is possible.
9. What is the METRO Cash & Carry Top-Card?
The METRO Cash & Carry Top-Card is a special retailer's purchasing card with advantages like being able to park in the first row in the car park, an independent check-out-area, latest informations directly from your store manager and much more.
10. Who is allowed to purchase at METRO Cash & Carry?
Entrepreneurs and businesses (e.g. further sellers, further processors, trade consumers, service providers) and other institutional consumers (e.g. hospitals, nursing homes, institutes, cafeterias) can settle their daily requirements fast and cost-effectively at METRO and can make use of the benefits of METRO!
11. Are there other methods of payment except by cash?
Yes. Each METRO Cash & Carry cash register serves as a bank debit card register. You have the choice to pay in cash or with your bankomat-/maestro-card.
